Absolutely right ZinaRae (there are now two of us). I think I also saw a diesel outboard Yamaha ... I think it was about 20 hp. Tho thought, diesel engines can be very heavy. You have a 16-foot runabout and can find a bit heavy at the rear. The only consideration you can see is to see if an electric starter. I'm not sure, but because of the extreme compression that needs diesel, I do not think you could draw realistically create one. Besides these things I think you will find diesel in an extremely reliable way to go. I have a yanmar inside that I am the owner for 10 years and it has been an artist absolutely impeccable.

Avon tires should not be spongy, atleast you should check your tire pressure once a week, I check mine before I ride every time simply because tires can lose pressure for a variety of reasons .. . especially aluminum wheels lose air temp changes automatically. Avon tires have served me well over the years, although I said there are other brands that are also good. I feel Avon get mileage, but I can change tires at the slightest that they are not efficient as when brand new. At what speeds they feel spongy? 100 mph ... 130 mph ... 150 mph?? My experience has shown the Avon to hug and hold a rural section 4 lane highway at speeds above 140 mph with no problems, no traffic in the area, unobstructed view of the road for several miles of asphalt and new! Very rarely, these conditions occur, but when they do ... I open the reinforced Valkyrie, a short distance and then return slowly to the posted speed limit of 65 mph. Taking precautions ... clear visibility of the road .. there are still major risks at these speeds, but tires are a major security problems ... good pressure ... a good balance .. right and walk further. My tires are changed to the point midway unless something tells me to change them sooner ... Handling a problem ... unusual noise ... vibration, nothing! It costs more but who can put a price on safety equipment when it comes to bikes! Riding in traffic at 65mph is much more dangerous then riding 120 mph on a single stretch of good road you have traveled and are aware of his condition ... with clear visibility on a clear stretch of road with no good exit doors or ramps available ... which ensures that you use this stretch of road while getting higher speeds for short periods of time. Making people seatbelt safety problems in cars or face getting a fine for being buckled is questionable at best. If it is really more dangerous seatbelts ... questions why the U.S. State license for a motorcycle in the first place ... second why are there no seat belts in school buses? I have not used it myself. I saw the demo video and it seems that it works very well for a small (10 feet or more) kayak. I would worry more bounce a little kayaking. I would also be a bit worried if the basket deflated for any reason. The kayak could end up damaging your paint can.
